I WANT TO…

RUN AWAY

BUT FROM WHOM OR WHAT

I WANT TO FLY TO YOUR SIDE

AND HELP YOU

FIND ANOTHER WAY

THAT DOES NOT HURT.

THEN I HEARD A VOICE SAY;

“THEN FOR WHAT OR WHOM

DID I SUFFER

AND WHAT MAKES LIFE WORTH

THE SACRIFICE?

I WANT TO RUN A WAY

BUT TO WHAT REWARD

OR PRICE TO PAY,

WHAT LESSON LEARNED

WAS WORTH NO SLEEP

NO LEGS, ARM (S) SENSE OF TASTE OR SMELL?

I WANT TO RUN AWAY

BUT FROM WHOM OR WHAT?

THE ONE IN THE MIRROR

OR THAT SEEN FROM WITHIN ME,

THE LIES TOLD

THE REGRETS FELT

THE END THAT NEVER COMES

OR THE BEGINNING THAT NEVER STARTS?

I RUN A WAY

IN WHICH RAIN DOES NOT WASH AWAY…

TEARS CAUSE WEEDS TO GROW

BLOOD PICKLES MY SOUL

AND LIGHT REVEALS THE DARKNESS

STILL.

I SEARCH FOR A WAY TO RUN

AND A PLACE TO WHICH I MIGHT SOMEDAY ARRIVE

AND

RUN NO MORE

I have been in that place Sam my friend,
That place in which there is also no place to hide
and no where to run,
For we run from ourselves and we can never detach from our shadow for it is always there ..
Only the Brighest Sun reveals it clearly and it only disapears when we stand directly under the Light,
no one is without shadow.. and i have learnt that there is no where to run but we have to stop running, turn around and face that which follows us.
Our reflection often mirrors that which we dislike in ourselves…
I have learnt that we first need to look deep within and love those imperfections… for no one is without sin ..

I felt your words deeply… for they came from the heart.. ~very moving
